Office Safety Protocol: When Entering the Office

Office Safety Protocol Medical Masks

Our office safety protocol is put in place to keep everyone safe and healthy. We ask that only the patient that has an appointment come into the office unless a parent, guardian, or translator is needed for the eye exam.

Wearing a medical mask is required as mandated by the BC Ministry of Heath.

Real Eyes Optometry Medical Grade Masks are available for purchase at our office.

All patients will be asked to use the hand sanitizer provided or wash their hands with soap and water when entering the clinic and at any time if they touch their face.

Plexiglass screens have been put up at the reception and on eye check-up equipment to help keep us all safe

All equipment will be cleaned with an alcohol-based cleaner before it is used on each patient.

Any surfaces that patients or staff touch will be cleaned with an alcohol-based cleaner after each encounter.

Covid-19 Office Safety Protocol

We will be accepting eye examinations by appointment only.

There are no walk-in appointments available at this time.

COVID-19 screening questions are apart of our Office Safety Protocols and will be asked by the staff at the time of booking your appointment, at the time of confirmation of your appointment and when you enter the clinic.

Please let us know if you have travelled outside of Canada within the last 14 days.

According to our office safety protocol, we will reschedule your appointment if you fave you had exposure to someone suspected of or confirmed as having COVID-19 within the last two weeks.

Patients who are showing  COVID-19 or COVID-19-like signs and/or symptoms will have their appointments rescheduled for a time that is deemed clinically appropriate (Minimum of 14 days).

We ask that you try to maintain a 2 meter distance from all other persons whenever possible. Please note, Optometric Testing may not allow for a 2 meter distance between the patient and staff/doctor. In such scenarios, staff/doctor will be wearing personal protective equipment.

Due to social distancing requirements, patients may be asked to wait outside of the clinic during peak hours or if maximum occupancy numbers inside the clinic have been met.
